DJ Moderno has been remixing national and international indie bands for over 20 years, producing music for film and advertising, performing live with various projects, and energizing the indie-electronic nightlife in countless venues and festivals across Spain.
He is currently a resident DJ at some of Madrid’s most iconic clubs such as Independance Club, Siroco, Barco, Contraclub, 33, and Honky Tonk, and frequently performs in cities like Pamplona, Castellón, Valencia, and Seville, among many others.
He has performed at festivals like FIB Benicàssim, Sonorama Ribera, Festival Gigante, Estaciones Sonoras, and La Térmica in Málaga. What’s your favorite indie club in your city? Chances are DJ Moderno has played there.
His current DJ set features live mixing with AKAI and mashups, delivering impossible remixes without skipping the big indie pop, alternative rock, and electronic hits. In 2024 alone, he’s performed over 200 sets, including major festivals, literally turning dance floors upside down with his bold blends.
He averages three to four sessions a week in Spain’s top indie venues, while also maintaining a prolific output as a producer. In summer 2024, he closed main stages at festivals like Cooltural Fest, and he already has several confirmed for summer 2025, backing a solid and established career.
His sets feature exclusive remixes and mashups crafted over the years, unavailable anywhere else — from 80s and 90s sounds to cutting-edge electronic music, he masters every style.
He has also DJ’d numerous times at Cibeles Fashion Week and various fashion brand events, showcasing his versatility.
In 2020, he began releasing original music under the name DJ Moderno. His debut album “La Nave Nodriza” came out in 2022, with 11 tracks receiving critical acclaim. Since then, he has released six new singles and is now preparing a new full-length album for February 2025.
